Leland Neff Commercial Work

Leland Neff photographs Kenneth Cole I created the first national ad campaign for Kenneth Cole. It was a series of unorthodox men that a young woman living in NYC might know and have as friends. Kenneth didn't like the idea of her heart throb being one of them. This was Walter Schupfer's first booking in the USA straight from Austria. I insisted on Walter being one of the 8 that we shot for the campaign. When Kenneth saw the film he only ran the photos with Walter. We did a follow up shoot in Paris the following ad season with the same models.

Bleinheim Bridge photographed by Leland Neff

Blenheim Bridge photographed by Leland Neff A wooden covered bridge that spanned the Schoharie Creek was destroyed by the historic flooding from Hurricane Irene. The bridge opened in 1855 and was the longest surviving single span covered bridge in the world. Lost also in the same flood was Leland's beloved herd of 22 horses. The bridge swept down the middle of his fields directly on target to the herd of horses, demolishing in the surrounding woods which lay in the water's path.
